Introduction of Hero Cluster

2022.05.17

This world is a long way off, after the battle between Typhon and Zeus is over. This story is about a planet called "Cocoon".

Due to the epic battle between Typhon and Zeus, the ability to "Judgment" is
missing, and the world changed drastically as a result.

A new planet called "Cocoon" is formed. It has 5 moons surrounding it, and its
inhabitants use the sunlight from the Solaris solar system to survive. As Cocoon doesn't spin on its own, only certain parts of the planet receive sunlight from
Solaris. Periodically, the amount of light will decrease, and this occurrence is
what forms the nights of Cocoon. The 5 satellites revolving around are known
as the "Light Moon", "Fire Moon", "Water Moon", "Wind Moon" and "Darkness
Moon". And there are 3 countries basking under the sunlight of Solaris.

Mixed governing state of the Twelve Sacred Knights

A mixed governing state, ruled by 12 knights; the 12 knights are either chosen by the people or ruled by a particular family. Each is ruled by, and divided into, 12 regions.

Solari, Religious Nation

A religious state dominated by Solaris-ism.

Artificial Natural City Eternal

A city built between islands on the sea, where science has developed. It is a
city where Nature and chemistry are combined.

At the borders between the lands of the Sun and the lands of eternal Darkness
lies a huge valley. There is an underground arena where various fighters fight
for various things.

A vast majority of the lands of eternal Darkness are unexplored and unknown. Of the little areas that are known, there's a place called the Paramita of the
Dead. A place where offerings are made to those who died in the arena, etc.

A place with a dense atmosphere where, for generations, the boundary
between the dead is blurred and illuminated only by the reflected light of the
moonlight by the darkness moon.

In the world without "Judgment", inhabitants of Cocoon managed to obtain a
similar power through contracts with 5 surrounding Moons. In the Artificial
Natural City Eternal, a scientist is researching the ancient Epic Battle between
Typhon and Zeus, as well as the secrets behind the power of the 5 Moons. This is the story after the invasion of Machines in the Duel Cluster!

Let’s look at some actual cards!

The cards were taken when the product was still under development. The actual product may look different.

Let us introduce “[Partner] X (Race)” !

If your ruler has this ability, it means that

“You may start the game with this ruler and two Moonchild rulers with «Bond» that don't share a name. Put them into your ruler area.”

Aristella, Twin Prince has “[Partner] 2 (Moonchild)”so you can choose two
Moonchild Rulers that don’t share a name with «Bond».

Of course, you can also choose to use a Moonchild Ruler to form a deck. This way, you can simply use any of the Moonchild Ruler during the prerelease of “A New World Emerges…” as your ruler!

We can see that [Partner] is quite similar to [Tag], but [Tag] focuses more on
collaborative combat of the Rulers, whereas [Partner] focuses more on partnership/companionship, and you will see that [Partner] has more variations as compared to [Tag].

During constructed tournaments, you can even sideboard your Moonchild Rulers,
but do take note that the sideboard size should stay the same after sideboarding.

Furthermore,  «Bond» is not a Keyword Ability, but rather just merely a keyword
like [Tales] and [Villains] in Duel Cluster.

Starting from the Hero Cluster, if it is not a Keyword Ability, we will use ”«»” to indicate that it’s merely a keyword, and will be reflected in the Comprehensive Rules
under 1101.1c-1.

As you can see from the previously introduced Aristella, Twin Prince, he doesn’t
have a [Judgment] ability, and that is because the power to judgment is lost in this world.

However, in this world, they can form a contract with a Moonchild to become a
J-Ruler!

Let’s see some actual contract cards!

Let us introduce Contract Chant !

In short, once a Contract Chant resolves, you can put the J-Ruler on the back side
into the field.

Chants that are Contracts have J-Ruler printed on the back side of the card. Every Contract Chant has its requirements, so if it is fulfilled, the Ruler obtains the power from the moon and becomes a J-Ruler.

As this is still a Chant, opponents can cancel the chant, so the contract is not
guaranteed.

If the Contract Chant successfully resolves, you turn your Ruler face down, then flip the Contract Chant into a J-Ruler and put it into the field.

If the Ruler is faced down, this indicates that the Ruler is currently “under contract”. There are cards in Hero Cluster that references Rulers “under contract”, so it must be clearly indicated.

From this set onwards, Rulers without Judgment (e.g. Grimm, the Fairy Tale Prince, Wolfgang, Exiled Demon Prince) will have a red colored back as shown below:

This back side will only be used for Rulers that cannot perform Judgment. Other
cards will continue to use the normal black back.

If your Ruler is “under contract”, all other information (e.g. Cardname, Card Type, Race, abilities, etc.) will be lost.

When the J-Ruler is destroyed, the J-Ruler is flipped back to the Contract Chant
side and placed into the graveyard, then the Ruler is turned face up.

Below is a brief summary of the rulings.

We will be releasing an updated Comprehensive Rules when the set A New World Emerges… is released.

1. You can contract with a named ruler when your ruler is rested.

2. J-ruler is always put into the field in the recovered state.

3. You can contract with a named ruler even after calling the magic stone.

4. This turn J-ruler enters the field, if ruler has not called a magic stone this turn,
J-ruler can call a magic stone.

5. This turn J-ruler enters the field, then it is destroyed, the ruler whose contract
has been canceled can call the magic stone this turn.

6. When the J-ruler is destroyed, the under contract ruler will return to the "ruler"
in a recovered state after canceling the contract.

7. The ruler does not go into the astral condition.

8. When your ruler with named counters contracts, move the named counters
above the ruler onto the J-Ruler. Once your J-Ruler is destroyed, return the named counters above the J-Ruler to the ruler.

In addition, there will be new Keyword Abilities, so stay tuned for the card preview!

The cards were taken when the product was still under development. The actual
product may look different.
