Hello rulers!
The Masterpiece
Collection 03 “Dimensional Hope” spoiler season starts next Monday! Over
the next six weeks,
we'll see the entire new collection, which, for example, includes new cards
related to the ten dimensions created by the High Gods of Valhalla. If you're
unfamiliar with these dimensions, follow this link to learn more:

Continuing what
Misteltein began, we will meet new characters (and some will be rulers!)
from these dimensions. Several of these characters have been mentioned in cards
from previous collections, others have been mentioned in lore chapters, but
some, for the moment, are completely unknown, although they are always related
to the ruler of the New Valhalla Cluster that we will find in that dimension.
Each of the rulers in
New Valhalla was originally designed with four different types of support. For
example, Atom Seikhart had the following support:
- Boosting the [Rune]
ability.
- Playing resonators at
random from the top of the deck.
- Support for
resonators with the Heroic Spirit race.
- Having many cards of
different types in the graveyard.
We encourage you to
try and guess which support we've chosen for each of the rulers in New
Valhalla!
We will also finally
learn what happened during the Assault on the Demonic World, when the five assaulters
from another dimension appeared in Yomidgard, indirectly aiding the rebellion
against Satan, initiated by Vergilius, Eurydice, and Orpheus, and how the
Fallen Angels, led by Astema, responded during the events of The Seventh. The
entire story is contained in the "Chronicles of Yomidgard," which you
can find in the flavor texts of some cards. To understand the whole story, you
will have to piece it together, as if you were a historian searching for the
truth. Here's the beginning:
All the Masterpieces
are different in some way: the first one, Pilgrim Memories, reintroduced and
expanded the concept of Sub-rulers. The second, Fates Reunited!, introduced the
keyword abilities [Fate] and [Reunited], and brought the story
into the present day.
This new Masterpiece,
Dimensional Hope, has characters who have appeared in two timelines
simultaneously, and they've changed quite a bit since we last saw them. Take
Atom Seikhart, for example.
Atom isn't exactly the
same as last time, since both versions are from different timelines. You could
say the new versions of the characters are paradoxical, but we're not
going to introduce that term just yet, even though the terminology already
appears in the CR.
However, we did want
to take advantage of this Masterpiece, which is entirely focused on supporting Wanderer,
to make a much clearer distinction between Wanderer and Paradox,
thus showing the differences between the timelines.
We did this by
creating the Memory Collection in a very special way: the cards
representing the older versions of the characters have been reprinted within
the Memory Collection, and the cards representing the current versions of the
characters are within MP03. Both types of cards will appear in booster packs,
but, as always, those with the Memory Collection code will only be legal in Wanderer.
We've also used this
Masterpiece to introduce certain cards that have been heavily played in the
past in Paradox.
And finally, the beloved
alternate cards will also return, in which we will discover the origin of the
Wardens of the Evil Cluster.
Get ready, because all
this and much more is what we'll start revealing next Monday, February 2nd!
