Antechamber of the Ten
Dimensions
Hello, Rulers!
Today we're introducing Antechamber of the Ten
Dimensions, a mini-set of Force of Will. This set showcases what's happening in
various dimensions of Force of Will (dimensions are the worlds where stories
take place. They're also what Gill Lapis, our favorite villain, covets and
collects).
While the main story of Force of Will follows the
adventures of Nero and the rest of the students in Yomidgard, the rest of the
Force of Will characters are also active, living their own adventures,
off-screen! And that's what we're going to show you. Of course, everything
we're going to show takes place in the current timeline.
Additionally, since we're showing a card from each
dimension of Force of Will, we're also introducing a keyword ability
from that dimension (with corresponding explanatory rules text). These
keyword abilities are themed to each of Force of Will's dimensions, and they
may reappear in the future if the Force of Will story takes us to those
dimensions. The cards you're about to see feature names of FOW characters we
haven't heard about yet, and even Rulers who don't even exist yet.
So, yes! This is a sneak peek at what we might expect
in the future in FOW!
Ten of the cards in the ATD mini-set were designed
specifically for Paradox and have the "DRC Video" set
code, along with a special frame to commemorate the start of the Evil
Cluster. Therefore, they're part of Descent into the Raven's Catacombs.
The other fifteen cards in the set were designed specifically for Wanderer
and have the ATD set code, so they're only legal in Wanderer and Arcana
Battle Colosseum.
Finally, the 25 cards in this mini-collection will be
available for the first time as a WGP2025 participation prize and in random
booster packs in the WGP 2025 store. If you're not attending WGP2025, don't
worry: they'll also replace the E2 Memory Collection and will appear at reduced
rarity in MP03 booster packs. However, only the WGP 2025 versions will be Foil
and FA, a reward to all players qualified for the event.
And WGP 2025, both the main event and the side event,
will be their debut, as all 25 cards have been legal since the release of Descent
into the Raven's Catacombs, which was August 28th.
Let's now look at the cards designed specifically for Paradox.
Let's now look at the cards designed specifically for Wanderer.
Sandora is the dimension created by the High God
Thoth. It is a desert-like place, with extremely high temperatures and icy
nights. In this dimension, the deities, who have physical form, fight for
sovereignty over the city-states and, recently, for control of the Golden Ankh,
a magical object of great power that could tip the balance in any direction.
Sandora's keyword ability is [Ibka].
1191. [Ibka]
·
1191.1. [Ibka] is a continuous ability held by
cards. It changes how the card is played.
· 1191.2. "[Ibka] (Cost)" means "You may play this card from your graveyard paying its [Ibka] cost.".
Asgard is the dimension created by the High God Odin.
It is a technologically advanced place, even though they live in Viking-like
buildings. It is also the birthplace of the greatest warriors and the most
powerful Valkyries. It is the only defensive bastion that exists between the
living beings of all dimensions and Ragnarok, the lord of all dragons, who,
although defeated, will bring about the end of all dimensions when he returns
in an uncertain future.
The keyword ability of Asgard is [Call of Valhalla].
1187. [Call
of Valhalla]
·
1187.1. [Call of Valhalla] is a continuous ability
held by cards.
· 1187.2. "[Call of Valhalla] (Number)" means "If this card would be destroyed, expel it instead. If you do, search your deck for a Valkyrie card with total cost (Number) or less and play it without paying its cost, then shuffle your deck.".
Asakna is the dimension created by High Genshi Tenson.
It is a dimension dominated by dragons and, to a lesser extent, dragonborn:
dragons who, upon death, are reincarnated as humans, retaining all their magic
and previous power, but in a much smaller body. There, the dragon clans are at
odds with each other, trying to crown a new king.
Asakna's keyword ability is [Draconic Tithe].
1188. [Draconic
Tithe]
·
1188.1. [Draconic Tithe] is a continuous ability
held by cards.
· 1188.2. "[Draconic Tithe]" means "As you play this card, discard up to X regalia cards, where X is the number of magic stones and will coin tokens you control. You pay [R][1] or [B][1] less to play this card for each card discarded this way.".
Yomidgard is the dimension created by the High God
Satan… or, depending which moment in time we are, by Goddess Velmar. It's where
the current story of the Evil Cluster takes place. This dimension is divided
into two continents separated by the Sea of Blood, a sea with a poisonous fog
that prevents passage from one continent to the other. It's the continent of
Axbryn where the story of Nero and his friends takes place, but who knows what
events or stories are happening or have happened in the past on the other
continent, Kathora, where the most important city is called, no less, Amadeus.
The keyword ability of Yomidgard, one that has yet to
appear in the Evil Cluster, is [Anathema].
1197. [Anathema]
·
1197.1. [Anathema] is a continuous ability held by
cards, either granting the card new abilities or modifying the effect text of
that card.
·
1197.2. If modifying the effect text of a card,
"[Anathema] – (Text)" means "As you play this card, if you
control cards in your graveyard with four different card types, this card is
played with the following text.”.
·
1197.3. If granting abilities to a card,
"[Anathema] – (Text)" means "This card has the following text in
all zones as long as you control cards in your graveyard with four different
card types.".
·
1197.4. If the condition for [Anathema] is not
fulfilled, the text after [Anathema] is considered to be non-existant.".
