Hello Rulers!
Last week, we updated the Floor Rules and the Regulations. Those documents haven’t been updated since 2017, so you will have seen that many things have changed since then.
Also, with the release of "Thoth of the Trinity", the CR had a much bigger update than other times, due to several things:
· The launch of a new collection.
· The start of a new Cluster.
· The rules for the new format: Arcana Battle Colosseum.
Because of this, sections like "how to use the Extension Rule area" or "which rulers can be used as starting rulers" or “penalties” have been updated, to reflect how the rules of Force of Will are applied in Wanderer games and in ABC games.
There are still a few things to update and/or clarify, but we are working on it, so, with each update, the CR becomes clearer and more precise. One of the things we have clarified is the legality of PR cards that are not included on the "RL" and "WL" numbering.
As stated in the Floor Rules section 7b – 2., Wanderer is the current format of Force of Will.
This means that, in Wanderer, all cards from the Grimm Cluster onwards are permitted, as long as they belong to a set or they are a reprint of a card that belongs to a set.
· PR cards that are not reprints of cards in a set from the Grimm Cluster onwards are not legal in competitive events of Force of Will.
· PR cards that are reprints of cards in a set from the Grimm Cluster onwards are legal in competitive events of Force of Will*.
· PR cards that have been released as Buy a Box cards or Prerelease cards that have the cluster code belong to the set are legal in competitive events of Force of Will*.
*as long as that card is not included in the Banned List of Wanderer.
Ex. The promotional card "Force of Will the Movie" (FOWMOVIE-01) do not belong to any set, so it is not permitted for play.
Ex. The promotional card "Hamelin’s Pied Piper" (PR2015-011) is a reprint of card CMF-043 which belongs to Crimson Moon’s Fairy Tale, so it is permitted for play.
Ex. The promotional card "Vacuus, Member of the Twelve Sacred Knights" (T1 Buy a Box) belong to Thoth of the Trinity, so it is permitted for play.
This has been our intention from the beginning and we apologize if it has not been sufficiently clarified until now. Our rules experts and development team are working very hard on the new CR update and the new Floor Rules update for the imminent release of "The Battle at the Sacred Ruins" while the spoiler season is on, so stay tuned to our official YouTube channel for more news!
