Divine Custodian, Sol (AVL-011 MR)
Question: If you control this warden and you also control an effect that says “Resonators cannot attack J/rulers or wardens you control”, can my opponent attack at all?
Answer: Yes, because the ability of Sol, while being mandatory, specifies that resonator must attack Sol “if able”, and, as the effect “Resonators cannot attack J/rulers or wardens you control” is a prohibiting effect, invalidates the “if able” clause of Sol, and resonators you don’t control can attack anywhere but J/rulers or wardens you control.
Hutriel's Chainmail Gloves (AVL-013)
Question: If I control this card and my opponent plays and resolves the [Consensus] ability of Arlequin of the Dead Moon Circus, will they perform the [Enter] abilities inside the [Consensus] effect?
Answer: No. If there is a continuous effect that says “(Cards) entering the field don't cause their own [Enter] abilities to trigger.”, do not trigger the [Enter] abilities included in the [Consensus] (A or B) in (Cards). For clarification, we have included this answer as rule 1172.2c.
Matelda, Queen of the Three Plateaus (AVL-015)
Question: If I control this card and my opponent plays a resonator spell and performs a revolution order effect, can they play that card?
Answer: No. As while performing the Revolution Order process the card gains “Players cannot chase to this card.”, and your opponent cannot play spells that cannot be chased, when the game checks if the card can be played or not in rule 903.2m, as the card cannot be played, they roll back the game state to the point immediately before they started playing that card or ability in 903.2a.
Sacred Knight of the West (AVL-022)
Question: Does its own [Blood Trail] trigger its automatic ability?
Answer: No, because this card's automatic ability only triggers when it's on the field, and since [Blood Trail] causes it to enter the field with the counters already on it, its automatic ability doesn't trigger.
Sunbringer, Sol's Blade (AVL-025)
Question: The [Enter] effect of this card checks if I control a {warden} or {light J-ruler with “Sol” in its name}, or {warden or light J-ruler} {with “Sol” in its name}?
Answer: It checks if you control a {Warden or light J-ruler} {with “Sol” in its name}.
Velmardian Trinity Formation (AVL-027)
Question: If I play and resolve this card, when I choose a willpower ability with a willpower cost other than -8 of a J-ruler or warden I control and perform its effect, do I put or remove willpower counters from that J-ruler or warden? If yes, should I have enough willpower counters on that J-ruler or warden to choose that ability?
Answer: No, you don’t put or remove counters from that J-ruler or warden, thus, you don’t need to have enough willpower counters in that J-ruler or warden to choose that ability. As you are not playing the ability, but performing its effect, you can choose any ability, except the ones that have a willpower cost of -8.
Rapid Decay {Paradoxical} (AVL-033)
Question: If I have achieved [Anathema], can I remove with this card seven counters from a J/ruler?
Answer: No. As it specifies “exactly eight”, you must remove exactly eight counters, no more, no less.
Question: And should those counters have the same name?
Answer: No, you may remove exactly eight counters with different names.
Nue, Windreader Fortune Teller (AVL-049)
Question: How do Nua's continuous ability to keep the top card of the deck revealed and her automatic ability [Rise] interact when she attacks?
Answer: If the top card of your deck is already revealed when you resolve the [Rise] ability, since [Rise] checks if the top card of the deck has [Rise] or if that card shares an attribute with the source of [Rise], and the card is already revealed, the rest of the [Rise] ability resolves normally.
Deployable Defense Device (AVL-093)
Question: Which spells are considered to have an “actual cost of 1 or more” when playing this card to determine the cost of this card?
Answer: Since “Actual cost” is “the exact number and kinds of will used to pay the card”, and that is a quantifiable amount, any spell for which [1] of will (with or without attribute) or more has been paid when playing it.
